Diamonds FAQ
How can I tell whether or not a diamond is real?
When you’re buying a diamond from an accredited and professional jeweler, they will always provide you with a certificate of authenticity and quality. We provide both a certificate of authenticity from the GIA, as well as an appraisal certificate.
What are the four C's?
Cut, color, clarity, and carat. Diamond jewelers use the four C’s to determine the appraisal value of a diamond, and let our customers know the kind of quality they are receiving.
How can I tell whether or not my diamond is "good"?
If you’re buying a diamond from a jeweler, always make sure that they provide you with a certificate of authenticity from the GIA, or another diamond accreditation organization. Check the quality of the diamond on the certificate to make sure you’re satisfied.
How long will my diamond jewelry last?
If you take care of your jewelry properly, it should last a lifetime – or longer. The diamond itself will last for thousands of years – and the setting, if properly maintained, cleaned, and protected, should last for hundreds of years. We recommend not wearing your jewelry to the gym, exposing it to water, or while working with your hands.
Custom Designs
Can you work with heirloom stones and diamonds?
Yes! If you have an important diamond or another gem that you would like included in a custom piece of jewelry, let us know and we will find a creative way to integrate it.
What does the design deposit include?
The design deposit allows us to begin working on your order. This amount is non-refundable.
When will my custom jewelry be ready?
From the time of your 10% deposit, your jewelry should be ready within 1-2 weeks.
Do I need to make a deposit?
Yes, you will be required to make a 10% deposit before we begin working on your custom jewelry design.
When can I expect my design to be finished?
On average, a custom jewelry design can take 1-2 weeks to complete, although in some cases for very complex pieces, it can take longer. It’s always a good idea to ask us for a time estimate, so you know what to expect, and when.
How am I going to receive my custom jewelry?
You can pick up your custom jewelry from our store in Los Angeles, or we can ship it to you via FedEx with Insurance. All shipments require a signature on delivery.
